The Beatles were not only one of the most phenomenally successful (both artistically and financially) popular musical groups ever, but also one of the most influential. They inspired thousands of fans to become musicians, and thousands of musicians to perform their music. Almost immediately the songs of the Beatles have become standards for others to include in their repertoire. Few have accomplished the task of making a Beatles song their own.
